Sanjay Singh, a member of AAP, was suspended from the Rajya Sabha (the upper house of the Indian Parliament) for the rest of the Monsoon Session. The Chairman of the House, Jagdeep Dhankhar, named him and Piyush Goyal, the leader of the Rajya Sabha, proposed a motion to suspend him.
The decision was accepted by a quick vote just before the House stopped working until 2 pm.
Singh was accused by Dhankhar for causing a disturbance in the House. He was causing problems during the meeting from the front of the room.
The monsoon session will finish on August 11.
