Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, said that the BJP may hold the Lok Sabha elections in December. She claimed that the BJP has already reserved all the helicopters for their campaign.
Banerjee, who was talking at a TMC young group meeting, warned that if the BJP gets a third term, it would lead to a rule where one person has all the power and makes all the decisions.
The main leader of the state said that some people who break the law are responsible for the illegal explosions at the firecracker factory. She said that this was happening “with the help of a few police officers”.
If the BJP wins for a third time, the country would be ruled by a single leader with a lot of power and not much democracy. I am worried that the BJP may hold the Lok Sabha elections in December 2023.
The political party in power has caused divisions and hostility among different groups in our country. “If they come back in control, it will turn our country into a place filled with hate,” she said.
The BJP has reserved all helicopters for their campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections, so no other political party can use them for their canvassing, according to Banerjee.
The determined leader of the TMC said she had won against the CPI(M) party which ruled Bengal for thirty years, and now she plans to win against the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections.
Banerjee criticized ABVP and BJP supporters who shouted violent slogans at Jadavpur University. She gave orders to the police to arrest anyone who promotes hate speech at the school.
“The person saying these words should remember that this is Bengal, not Uttar Pradesh,” she said.
