Kolkata, on August 28th.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the BJP may hold the Lok Sabha elections in December. She claimed that the saffron party has already booked all the helicopters for their campaigning.
Banerjee was talking at a TMC youth wing rally and warned that if the BJP gets a third term, the country will be ruled in an “autocratic” way.
The head leader of the state also said that some people involved in illegal activities were responsible for the accidents at the firecracker factory. She claimed that a few police officers were helping with this.
If BJP maintains power for a third term, the country will experience a dictatorship. I am worried that the BJP could have the Lok Sabha elections in December 2023 itself.
The party with a saffron symbol has caused our country to become divided and full of hate among different groups of people. She said that if they come back to power, it will mean that our country will become a place filled with hatred.
BJP has already reserved all helicopters for campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections. Banerjee said this is to prevent any other political party from using them for canvassing.
The strong-willed leader of TMC said she had won against the CPI(M) ruling for three decades in Bengal, and now she will win against the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections.
Banerjee criticized the ABVP and BJP activists who chanted violent slogans at Jadavpur University. She ordered the police to arrest those responsible for spreading hate at the university.
She said that people who are shouting such slogans should remember that they are in Bengal, not Uttar Pradesh.
