Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the Central Government was dealing with making Tripura the “Gateway of Northeast”. Dozens of projects to improve the rail, air and streams availability were happening in the state to accomplish the unbiased, he said.
Strikingly, the moniker, “Gateway of Northeast”, is typically utilized for Assam as it interfaces the N-E states with the remainder of the country through street and rail connect.
PM Modi, who today initiated the new terminal structure of the air terminal in Agartala worked at an expense of Rs 3,400 crore, said the Center was making tremendous interests in framework building. “Tripura is scheduled to turn into the center of business and exchange of the N-E district,” he added.

He added that while worldwide water availability with Bangladesh gave Tripura a special benefit, the Central Government was additionally squeezing hard for setting up rail interface among Agartala and Akhaura, Bangladesh.
Modi, who was tending to an assembly at Agartala’s Swami Vivekananda Maidan, likewise sent off the Tripura Gram Samriddhi Yojana and Project Mission 100 of Vidyajyoti Schools. Common Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb were among those present at the meeting.
