Cold wave to extreme cold wave conditions are probably going to proceed in northwest India over the course of the following two days and subside from there on, the IMD said today. Cold wave conditions will proceed over focal and east India for the following three days and alleviation is logical from there on, it said.
“Cold wave to extreme cold wave conditions are probably going to proceed in certain pieces of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh during the following 24 hours and cold wave conditions are possible at secluded pockets for the ensuing 24 hours,” the climate office said.

Cold wave conditions are logical over pieces of Uttarakhand, UP, Maharashtra, Bihar and Jharkhand till Wednesday and over Jammu, Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, HP and Gangetic West Bengal till Tuesday evening.
In the interim affected by two western unsettling influences one after another, light to direct precipitation and snowfall is logical over western Himalayan area from December 22 to 25. Light detached precipitation is additionally possible over Punjab on December 24.
