The government led by Bhupesh Baghel from the Congress party in Chhattisgarh was able to stay in power after the BJP party tried to remove them through a no-confidence vote on the final day of the state assembly session.
The motion of no-confidence was not approved after a vote in the state assembly around 1 am following a 13-hour discussion.
The Congress party has 71 out of 90 members in the assembly, while the BJP party has 13 members.
The argument started on Friday and the BJP accused the Baghel government of corruption and not fulfilling their promises. They presented 109 complaints against the government.
During the argument, the members of the opposing group criticized the government of Congress for alleged wrongdoings, not keeping their promises from the election, and a worsening situation with law and order.
The government rejected the accusations made by the opposition because they believe that the opposition did not provide any specific problems and their accusations are not based on facts.
In response to the debate, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the opposition’s accusations are not backed by evidence. By presenting these accusations, the BJP provided an opportunity for the government to showcase its accomplishments in the assembly.
Just before CM finished talking, the BJP members started shouting slogans against the government. They said the government didn’t respond to the opposition’s accusations. Then they left the building. Please rewrite the following text using simpler language: ”
