Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Thursday tried positive for Coronavirus, in front of the June 8 Enforcement Directorate calls in the National Herald illegal tax avoidance case.
Gandhi, 75, created Coronavirus side effects on Wednesday and has disengaged on clinical exhortation, Congress general secretary Randeep Surjewala said on Thursday.
Surjewala said Sonia would go to the June 8 summons and would ideally be better in around four days.

Surjewala tweeted, “Congress President, Smt Sonia Gandhi has been meeting pioneers and activists over last week, some of whom have been found Covid +ve. Congress President had created gentle fever and Covid side effects last night. On testing, she has been viewed as Covid positive.
“According to clinical exhortation, Congress President has segregated herself.
“As an enormous number of Congressmen and ladies and well wishers have communicated concern, we need to say that she is fine and recuperating. We thank everybody for their great wishes.”
He said the Congress president would show up before the ED on June 8.
“We, at the Indian National Congress, will update you as often as possible about any future turns of events,” Surjewala said.
