The Congress encouraged the Election Commission (EC) on Thursday to start criminal procedures against Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Chief Secretary and different functionaries of the state government, asserting that they back-dated arrangements, moves and postings and altered authority records, abusing the model set of rules.
In an update submitted to the EC, the Congress claimed “gross infringement” of the survey code and the Representation of the People Act, 1951 by the BJP government in Uttarakhand.
“As the BJP government realizes that it will be steered in the decisions, it altered authority records by back-dated arrangements and moves and postings,” the Opposition party affirmed.

It requested that activity and criminal procedures, including enrollment of FIRs, be started against Dhami, Chief Secretary SS Sandhu and different functionaries of the Uttarakhand Government.
The EC should save or proclaim unlawful the back-dated arrangements of BJP pioneers to the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee as these were infringing upon the model set of rules, the Congress said.
