Delhi LG Anil Baijal resigns citing personal reasons

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal today left the post refering to individual reasons and sent his papers to President Ram Nath Kovind, sources said.

Baijal’s residency as the L-G of Delhi endured over five years, as he assumed control over the workplace on December 31, 2016, after the abrupt renunciation of his ancestor Najeeb Jung. A 1969-bunch IAS official from the AGMUT framework, Anil Baijal had filled in as Union Home Secretary in the NDA government, drove by Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He additionally stood firm on key footings in different services.

He resigned from the help in 2006 as Secretary of the Urban Development Ministry. Following his retirement, he was related with the preparation and execution of Rs 60,000-crore JNNURM plot during the UPA government.
