A man in New Delhi has been charged for reportedly making his 30-year-old wife watch pornographic videos and dress up like pornstars, as per police on Wednesday. The woman, a local of East Rohtash Nagar, declared that her husband is addicted to porn. The couple had tied the knot in 2020, according to police. In her complaint, the woman also accused her husband and his family of asking for dowry, and mentally and physically harassing her, as stated by a police senior. A case was registered on Tuesday under sections 498 A, 406, 377, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and sections of Dowry Prohibition Act at Shahdara Police Station upon the woman’s complaint, stated Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Rohit Meena. Meena stated that the investigation is still in its initial phase. Witnesses are being questioned, digital and other evidence are being secured for further action in the case, he said.
