Gagan Dev Riar, who is the main actor in Sony LIV’s new show Scam 2003: The Telgi Story, is very excited for its first episode on September 1st. But did you know that the actor was supposed to have an important role in Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story.
Gagan said that he would have been on the first season of Scam if he didn’t have scheduling problems. I was initially chosen to play the character of Sitaraman, the manager from SBI who was involved in the securities scam. However, the role ended up being played by Jamini Pathak. But, at that time I had a lot of work to do on a project and couldn’t take on the responsibility. And then Telgi became involved. Finally, everything turned out fine. I eventually got the opportunity to be in the Scam series, this time playing the role of Abdul Karim Telgi.
