On August 4th in Mumbai.
Chrisann Pereira, an actor, said that she stayed positive during her 27-day imprisonment in a Sharjah jail because she knew she didn’t do anything wrong. She hopes that nobody else has to go through a similar experience.
The actor from the movie “Sadak 2,” who is 27 years old, met with the Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar and other important police officers. She thanked them for their assistance in bringing her back from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Speaking to the reporters at the police commissioner’s office, Pereira said, “I am really glad to be back together with my family, to be on my land, just breathing in the fresh air. I want to make sure that I am seeing it in a practical way and that’s the way I am proceeding now. Pereira was caught at the Sharjah airport on April 1 after drugs were discovered inside a gift that some people had asked her to give to someone in the UAE. She was placed in jail in Sharjah, but the Mumbai crime branch investigation discovered that she had been set up.
“I am feeling very emotional because I am finally going back home after being away for four months. ” She said that she had a very upsetting experience and she was happy to see her family members. Her mother, father, brother, and pet dog are all feeling emotional too.
Pereira shared her difficult experience in another country, saying she felt lost and couldn’t understand why she was in prison. She said that she stayed positive in prison because she knew she hadn’t done anything wrong.
Pereira said that the people who heard her story and her fellow inmates also believed that she didn’t have any involvement in the situation.
“She said that it was something that gave her motivation. ”
Pereira said she thinks the court and law in that place will understand what really happened and make a fair decision for her.
Pereira said that when the other people in prison found out she was an actor in movies, they were happy to have an actor with them.
“She said it was a weird experience,” she said simply.
She said the most important thing in prison is to focus on surviving. “You eat and sleep only to stay alive because your mind is in a very negative state. ” “I don’t know what will happen to you next,” she said.
The actor said she had a difficult time because of differences in culture and language.
I didn’t understand what they were asking me. She said that there were also prisoners from different countries.
Pereira said she felt really sad because she couldn’t talk to her family.
“It was really hard, I was living with people I didn’t know. ” I wasn’t familiar with how people lived in that country. “I never want anyone to experience this ever,” she said.
The actor mentioned that her experience in making movies also caught the prison staff’s attention.
“I was experiencing a difficult period. ” “Then the guards in prison asked me which movies I had been in so they could watch them,” Pereira said.
After Pereira was taken into custody in the UAE, two people named Anthony Paul and his friend Rajesh, also known as Ravi Bobhate, supposedly asked Pereira’s mother for Rs 80 lakh in order to secure her release.
The actor got out of jail because the Mumbai police gave some important papers about the case to the UAE authorities.
In June, the Mumbai police accused Paul, Bobhate, and another person of wrongly accusing Pereira in a drugs case and officially documented this accusation in a chargesheet.
The authorities in Sharjah had let her go after investigating the case, but she couldn’t come back right away because of some legal requirements.
After finishing all the necessary legal paperwork, the authorities in the UAE gave permission to the actor to go back to India. Please rewrite the text in simple words.
