The Intelligence Bureau (IB) report, which was imparted to the Punjab Government, had “explicit and significant” input saying “some sort of demonstration or agitation” couldn’t be precluded while the PM was headed to Hussainiwala, a fortification of ranchers’ associations.
The report said: “Heads of SKM constituents, including the BKU(E-U) and KMSC (Satnam Singh Pannu bunch), which have not joined the SKM’s as of late drifted political outfit ‘Sanyukt Samaj Morcha’, have effectively pronounced that they would put together a gherao of the PM on his visit to Ferozepur…”

It likewise said ranch associations “remained steadfastly condemning of PM Modi.” It advised the Punjab Government over revolutionary Sikh associations “consistently” raising the issue of arrival of Sikh detainees. “They have submitted notices and coordinated fights ordinarily to raise the issue.The probability of resistance of Sikh revolutionaries also can’t be precluded,” the report read.
The IB cautioned that Gurpatwant Singh Pannu of the restricted Sikhs For Justice had been inciting neighborhood adolescents and tricking them with cash. Giving an overall caution, it requested the Punjab Government to stay cautious as the scene from the PM’s capacity was near the line with Pakistan.
