Mufti meets PDP youth wing leaders; calls for release of political detainees.

People groups Democratic Party boss Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday led a gathering of youth laborers of her party in Srinagar where the arrival of political prisoners was looked for. The gathering was the first of its sort since the capture of PDP youth wing president Waheed ur Rehman Parra.

The gathering was gone to by the party’s childhood chiefs from across Kashmir. Mufti said the party will battle for reclamation of Article 370, which was invalidated by the Center on August 5, 2019. Article 370 gave a unique status to the recent territory of Jammu and Kashmir which has since been bifurcated in to two Union Territories

PDP boss representative Suhail Bukhari said this was the first youth meeting of the party in quite a while, particularly since Parra was captured, first by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and afterward by Crime Investigation Department. “The point was to examine the current circumstance of J&K with our childhood authority. This gathering was gone to by 150 youth pioneers and laborers from all the Kashmir locale… In the gathering, an instructions was given on how self-rule is the lone reasonable, functional and satisfactory answer for Kashmir issues.”

On Parra’s confinement, Bukhari said, “The initiative requested the arrival of the multitude of detainees, including Waheed ur Rehman Parra.”

Parra was captured by NIA last November for his supposed fear based oppressor joins. PDP has named all charges against him outlandish.
