Omicron cases in United States likely to peak by end of January : Dr Anthony Fauci

Cases including the Covid Omicron variation will probably top before the finish of January, official clinical consultant Anthony Fauci said.

“I would envision, given the size of our nation and the variety of immunization versus no inoculation, that it probably will be in excess of two or three weeks, presumably before the finish of January, I would think,” Fauci told CNBC said on Wednesday in light of an inquiry concerning when the Covid cases will top in the United States.

On Tuesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) if information showing that the Omicron variation represented 58.6% of all new contaminations in the United States in the week finishing on December 25.
