Pakistan has given a one-year extension to the visa of a 34-year-old Indian woman who went to a distant village in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to marry her Facebook friend after converting to Islam, according to her Pakistani husband.
Anju, who changed her name to Fatima after becoming a Muslim, got married to her friend Nasrullah on July 25. Nasrullah lives in the Upper Dir district. They started being friends on Facebook in 2019.
On Tuesday, Nasrullah said that Anju’s visa, which was previously extended for 2 months, has now been extended for a whole year because they got married. Her visa was going to expire on August 20th after being valid for one month.
Nasrullah said that his wife Anju’s visa was extended for another year after giving the necessary documents to the Interior Ministry.
“He said that all institutions in Pakistan are working together with us. ”
A month ago, a real estate company gave the couple a piece of land in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a gift and also gave them a check.
Anju was born in a village called Kailor in Uttar Pradesh. She lived in the Alwar district of Rajasthan. She traveled from India to Pakistan legally, crossing the border at Wagah-Attari. She was allowed to stay in Upper Dir for 30 days with a visa.
Anju is married to Arvind, and he is in Rajasthan. They have a daughter who is 15 years old and a son who is 6 years old.
Her story is like Seema Ghulam Haider’s story. Seema is a 30-year-old mother from Pakistan who went secretly to India to be with Sachin Meena, a 22-year-old Hindu man she met while playing the game PUBG in 2019. “Closing tag”
