Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for diverting the consideration of individuals of Goa from main problems like climate and work.
Condemning Narendra Modi over his articulation that assuming Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru needed, Goa might have been freed “in no time” in 1947 when India achieved autonomy, Gandhi said the state leader doesn’t comprehend what is happening of those times and what was occurring post-World War II.
Modi, while tending to a political decision rally at Mapusa close here on Thursday in front of the February 14 gathering surveys, had said it required 15 years for the Congress government to free Goa from the Portuguese rule.

Talking in a question and answer session in Margao, Gandhi said, “PM doesn’t comprehend the historical backdrop of those times, he’s not sure what was happening post-World War II. He is coming to Goa to occupy individuals from the main problems like climate and business.” Gandhi wouldn’t remark on the seething contention over ‘hijab’ and said he would not get into any sort of discussion that will divert individuals of Goa. “My main goal is to concentrate what is significant for individuals of Goa,” he said.
Gandhi, who is on a day long visit to the seaside state, said the Congress will win a larger part of seats in Goa and there won’t be any requirement for post-survey unions.
“Congress will get a larger part and act promptly to guarantee we have an administration in Goa,” he said. PTI
