Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday said the arrangement of the new Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) will be made soon and that the interaction for it is in progress.
The post of CDS has been lying empty since General Bipin Rawat’s passing in a helicopter crash on December 8 last year.
“The arrangement of the CDS will be made soon. The cycle for it is in progress,” the protection serve said during a media preparation here on the rollout of the “Agnipath” enrollment conspire for the military.
Recently, the government provided warnings, enlarging the determination pool for the top position.
As per the new standards, any serving or resigned lieutenant general, air marshal and bad habit naval commander younger than 62 years will be qualified for arrangement to the post of CDS.
