The uncertainty of whether Russian President Vladimir Putin would attend the G20 summit in person was resolved when his spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, stated that Putin has a busy schedule and will not be traveling directly to the summit.
Putin had to stay away from going to South Africa for the recent BRICS summit and instead joined via a video call. Peskov said that it will be decided later how Putin will participate in the G20 summit.
