Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Tuesday looked for additional opportunity to show up before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding a tax evasion test, an authority said.
The ED had brought Rajya Sabha part Raut on Tuesday for addressing in the tax evasion test connected to the re-improvement of a Mumbai ‘chawl’ and other related monetary exchanges including his better half and companions.
The improvement comes as the Shiv Sena fights insubordination from a gathering of its MLAs, putting a question mark on the fate of Maharashtra’s Maha Vikas Aghadi government. Raut was not accessible on Tuesday because of his arranged visit to Alibaug (Raigad region), following which his legal advisor arrived at the ED’s office here at around 11.15am to look for additional time, the authority said.

The legal counselor presented a letter to the ED authorities, mentioning time for Raut to show up before the test office, he said.
Raut on Monday had named the ED’s summons as a “connivance” to prevent him from battling against their political rivals, and said he wouldn’t have the option to show up before the organization on Tuesday as he needed to go to a gathering in Alibaug. PTI
