Milan Kundera, a writer from Czech Republic who wrote a book called “The Unbearable Lightness of Being,” has passed away at the age of 94. He lived in Paris for almost 50 years after leaving his home country due to disappointment with the Communist government.
The Moravian Library in Brno, a city in Czech Republic, has announced that Milan Kundera passed away in his Paris apartment on Tuesday.
He had been battling a long illness.
Kundera received worldwide recognition for his ability to show the connection between ordinary life and intellectual concepts in his stories and characters. The Prime Minister of Czech Republic, Petr Fiala, claimed that his books have been read by many people all around the world.
