A 26-year-old woman reportedly killed herself by hanging after her fiancé said he did not want to marry her, according to the police.
Sapna, who is the daughter of a police officer, was found dead in her house. She was hanging from a ceiling fan. This happened in the Ughaiti area on Sunday.
The police said that before the woman died, she made a video where she talked about how her family was having a hard time finding a new person for her to marry after her fianceé broke off their wedding.
Ajay Pratap Singh, who is in charge of the rural area of the police department, mentioned that they are aware of Sapna’s popular video on social media. They will check to make sure if it is real or not.
Sapna and Vikas, who live in Wazirganj, got engaged on July 8, 2022, as per the police.
The couple was going to get married on April 22 this year but Vikas decided not to go through with it 20 days before. He said he didn’t trust her. This information was given by the police.
They said that the body has been sent for examination after death. Once the family of the person who has died files a complaint, the authorities will take action by registering a case using the appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code, as stated by the SP.
