Praveen Kumar and his son had a lucky escape on Tuesday night when their SUV was struck from behind by a trailer truck in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. This brought back memories of Rishabh Pant’s car crash last year. The Circle Officer (Civil Lines) Arvind Chaurasia reported that the car was travelling from Pandav Nagar to Multan Nagar when the accident occurred. The driver of the truck has since been arrested and a case has been registered against him. The former India pacer said that he and his son were unharmed and that it could have been much worse. He thanked God for the fact that they were in a large car, which likely prevented any injuries. Pant had also been in a car crash in December, but he fortunately survived with only severe injuries. Kumar had a five-year international cricket career and is now in good shape, despite having battled depression in 2020. He recently attended a promotional event in Delhi with West Indies star Chris Gayle. Despite his desire to give back to the game, he is currently not involved in any coaching. He owns a real estate business and restaurant in his hometown.
